Our Future

The future of all non-profit organizations is somewhat cloudy as funding opportunities are declining and the level of funds from governmental agencies is being reduced annually. Even so, LDC continues to thrive. With the addition of a full-time fund development director, a concentrated effort to make the future of programs and services a reality is moving ahead.

A strategic plan has been adopted by the Board of Trustees positioning LDC to meet both the immediate and long-term needs of the neighborhood. Seeding the Future Capital Campaign is a part of this strategic plan and aims to involve LDC's total constituency in the drive for philanthropic support necessary for LDC to fulfill its mission well into the future.

Over the next 18 months, LDC will reach out to all funding sources to seek financial support of the Seeding the Future Capital Campaign. All constituents will be asked to stand side by side with the Board of Trustees as they and the organization move forward into a dynamic period of growth and expanded service.
