The two-day event is a tribute to our Polish heritage and a showcase of the Lagrange Street corridor. Each year the festival breaks records for attendance and food sales. Proceeds from the festival help renovate neighborhood homes, provide free paint to homeowners, and award scholarships to students.

In the early 1980’s, a handful of business and residential activists banded together to address various community concerns and to establish our creditability as a neighborhood. The Lagrange St. Polish Festival was born from these thoughts. With a lot of hard work and some Polish luck, it has grown into one of the largest street festivals in the state of Ohio.

The first festival was in 1984 and 18 years later we continue to be bigger and better with each passing year. We’ve grown from a one-day event to a Saturday and Sunday event.

We survived those early years, ironed out some of the wrinkles and continue to fine-tune this wonderful event. Each year, we attract a larger crowd, who consume lots of food and drink.

After consuming 37,000 pierogi’s, 1.3 tons of Kielbasa, and washing it all down with 285 kegs of beer and 6,350 bottles of Pepsi, we closed our doors on another chapter and sent everyone home with smiles on their faces.
